- - - > Spoken is a band that seldomly gets the recognition they deserve. They
have been labeled unoriginal, rage against the machine wanabees, and wussy
among other things. With that said, I'll have to disagree. I think Spoken puts
out some awesome heart felt and worshipful music. If you see them live, you'll
be awed by their intensity and desire for God. Even though, Matt Baird's voice
closely resembles the dude from Rage, Spoken is still a lot different. The
instrumentation has a different feel to it than Rage and can be a lot cooler at
times. Two guitars in a rap-core type band is not usually done, and it allows
Spoken to do some innovative things. I have a lot of respect for the guys in
Spoken; they are some of the coolest guys I've met. I just don't
understand why so many people rip on this band like they suck. They are four
guys dedicated to ministering to people through their music and lives. Don't
miss out on the chance to see them if they come near you.
