- - -> Godly, dedicated, and caring are three words that probably best
describe POD. Comin' at ya straight from the streets of San Diego, POD's(short
for Payable On Death) testimony is very powerful. They are not shy in
proclaiming their love for Christ. Every show POD takes time out to share with
the fans the love that God has for them, and his mom's death opened his eyes to
the Lord. In 1992, POD was first formed in Sonny's garage. A couple years after
they caught the attention of their first record company Rescue Records. There
they released Brown, Snuff The Punk, and Live At Tomfest. Brown was selling
really well, and POD was getting a reputation of bringing awesome music to the
masses. In late '98 POD signed with the major secular label Atlantic records.
During that time they licensed The Warriors EP to Tooth and Nail from Atlantic
because Atlantics release schedule was to full. The Warriors EP was a preview
for the fans to see what was to come on Atlantic. August 24th the Fundamental
Elements of Southtown comes out, and will have international distribution. There
first single "Outkast" is awesome and is getting radio play all over the country
. You can get a real audio sample of the whole song at the Atlantic Records
website. I have a feeling POD will become very popular. What would be funny
would be to have someone come to me and say "Dude did you check out that new
band POD?" and I'd be like "Where you been they've been around since 1992 man,
you should check out their other 4 cd's." POD has already been asked to join
the Ozzfest and Family Values tour. All of you out there should keep POD in your
prayers because they are in a situation where they can communicate with lots of
people about Christ.
